Animal Aide success stories

We caught up with Katie and her new family at the Dog Walk-a-Thon and asked them to send us their story. Thanks for your contribution!

Katie (formerly known as Suzy)
Katie Suzy was a 2-year-old rotti/pitbull cross when we adopted her from the Lobo Animal Shelter via Animal Aide. Suzy was placed with Animal Aide for 8 months before finding a home with her new family... she was promptly renamed Katie and has been a going concern ever since :)

Katie has become an important part of her new family. She has a very strong motherly instinct and takes care of her two little boys as much as the dog in Peter Pan did.

Katie showed a fear-aggression towards other dogs so her new parents started fostering for Adopt-a-rott (Ontario) to counter this aggression. We are proud to announce that not only is Katie much better with other dogs, she also attained her CGC last fall. She also managed to get a dog friend named Dylan (rottweiler) who was also adopted by her family.

This is a typical picture of Katie with one of her human kids.
