Animal Aide success stories

Two-time Animal Aide adoptive parents sent us this "double-your-fun" story of Mooch the cat and Sparky the dog. Thanks for your contribution!

Mooch Mooch
This is Mooch - so named because of her "get-in-your-face" personality... especially when you're trying to eat or if a nice cold glass of milk is handy!! She makes it her duty to try and "mooch" your food.

We adopted Mooch from the shelter/Animal Aide in February 2000 - she was about 4 months old at the time. Things were a little uncertain when we first brought her home - she wasn't sure what to think of Bloo (our 80 lb black lab - also a stray that was dropped off out in the country at about 3 months of age) and vice versa. Things have since changed a great deal - Mooch now runs the show!

Sparky Sparky
This is Sparky - also adopted from the shelter/Animal Aide. We started out by fostering Sparky in July 2000 because he was absolutely terrified at the shelter - trembling, wouldn't eat and would barely drink water. He was extremely timid when he first arrived home (you wouldn't know he is the same dog!) and followed me EVERYWHERE. Sparky loves to sit on your lap, go for walks, car rides, cuddle, play ball and even plays soccer! He is completely obsessed with the water hose - on really hot days we set the sprinkler up in the back yard and he plays for hours! Our family (Bloo, Sparky, Mooch and J.P. the guinea pig) provides us with hours of entertainment, companionship and non-stop love - we wouldn't trade them for anything!!
