Laurel
Laurel - When Laurel came through our doors, hissing wildly, on September 1, 2004, at 1 year old, we knew there was something special about her. She is mostly white with tabby markings and a soulful gleam in her eyes. Laurel is mostly a quiet cat, who prefers to do things on her own, in her own good time. Several of our volunteers have tried to find out what she is thinking or how she is feeling, but Laurel keeps very much to herself. Most days, she will mind her own business and become part of the woodwork, but other days she is begging for attention. To us, that sounds like the epitome of the definition of the word "cat." Laurel enjoys treats, but is not much of a cuddler. Laurel has been with us for more than two years simply because she doesn't run to the front of the cage and demand to be noticed by potential adopters, nor does she like to be held. Laurel was born on the streets and spent the first two years of her life fighting for everything she ate and everywhere she slept. Won't you please give this girl the best of both worlds - the freedom to roam proudly in a home of her own, where she won't have to fight for her rightful place in front of the fire or over bowls full of food and water? Laurel is accepting visitors at Animal Aide at 333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, emails through the website, or calls at 519-633-3788. Can you truly deny this face???

Noir
Noir was rescued from the pound by Animal Aide on May 18, 2006. She is a beautiful 2 year old with a glossy black coat. No one knows what Noir has been through in her short life but we can only imagine. She has resisted most offers of affection with a sharp glare. If you think you have what it takes to bring out the hidden potential in Noir and put the light back into her eyes, come visit her at 333 Talbot. St, St. Thomas, call 519-633-3788 or email us.

Saffron
Saffron has come in from the wild. A lovely woman had been feeding Saffron and trying to win her confidence but circumstances forced her family to move and she worried about what would happen to Saffron. In order for Saffron to have every chance of adoption, she was spayed and declawed before we were called. Saffron was brought into the Animal Aide family March 2, 2007. She is still very frightened and a little bewildered but we hope she will accept a kind hand again. Saffron is a bewitchingly beautiful black cat who deserves to have a happy home. Could you be the one to share your heart and home with Saffron? Visit Saffron at 333 Talbot St. St. Thomas. Mon-Sat, 10-4, send us an email, or call us at 519-633-3788. Sharing is a wonderful thing to do!!!
