Dipsy
Dipsy - This is a face to end all faces. If you look deep into this guy's eyes, you will see the heart and soul of a big suck. Dipsy was trapped under a front porch where he lived for the first 9 months of his life. When he arrived at Animal Aide on April 15, 2005, he was very frightened and had no idea how to integrate people into his sheltered life. Dipsy has a gray and white soft coat that is unmatched in quality. Dipsy became a favourite of one of our volunteers who was determined that this guy would become a 'cuddle cat'. After spending time each week after hours, gaining Dipsy's trust, Dipsy now looks forward to not only being petted, but being picked up! For those who have never worked with a feral cat, you have no idea what an amazing feat this is. Living on the street and fending for yourself, as Dipsy had to do well into his adulthood, requires total control of everything you do. To allow a human being to pick you up and hold you, throws all that training out the window. It means that Dipsy now does not have full control of everything - he has passed some of it on to you. It is a show of trust that can never be broken. If you have the time and patience to earn this guy's trust, Heaven can't be far behind. All any of us can hope for, is someone to love. To see Dipsy face to face, please visit Animal Aide at 333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, call at 519-633-3788, or send us an email.
