Clementine
Darling Clementine is our "pin-up" cat. She is as aloof as she is magnificent and has been with us since Nov.7, 2002. One look at Clementine and you might wonder why she has been with us for so long. Something happened to Clem (before her rescue) which robbed her of the ability to trust people. Clementine is one of the few cats who are allowed to remain outside of a cage and it is to these other cats that she gives her trust and love to. She has allowed some volunteers (under very special circumstances) the privilege, and it is a privilege, of gently stroking her back. We believe that there is a special person for every one of our cats. Clementine is holding out for that person who can convince her that they are worthy. Someone who is fearless and will take her as she is, has lots of time, be patient with her and allow her to make the first move. Clementine has great potential and a home with a retiree or a home with no children or dogs would suit her best. To meet Clementine visit Animal Aide, 333 Talbot St., St. Thomas, 519-633-3788, or email us.

Crocus
Crocus - This frightened girl arrived at Animal Aide on May 11, 2007, with three babies. Her babies have all been adopted and Crocus is here where our dedicated and loving volunteers can socialize with her. Crocus was born on the streets and raised at least one litter there as well. She has not had any previous dealings with humans, or very little and it was not a good experience for her. Crocus has huge potential to be a very loving, sweet girl and we are determined to find it. Fear shapes her very existence right now, but before you know it, she will blossom into a sweetheart. Now that she is no longer raising babies, her maternal instincts to protect them against everything and everyone will dissipate and make her easier to work with. There truly is no greater feeling in the world than to be a part of this process. Crocus can now be seen at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or send us an email. How could anyone say no to this sweet face?
