Abigail |
Abigail -
Few cats can cause the kind of reaction that Abigail has at Animal
Aide! This beautiful, frightened little girl was trapped near
Norwich raising five kittens on her own. Abigail's kittens are
currently in a foster home for socializing. Abigail has a tale to
tell and is waiting for the right person to be able to hear it. She
is tabby and white and has the most endearing personality of any
feral cat this volunteer has ever met and I could not stop reaching
into her cage to pet her the day I met her! Abigail entered our
doors on April 13, 2007, at the age of 2 years. She is extremely
small and will likely stay that way. Growing up on the streets and
then raising her own young there, she is very slender. Abigail has
not shown any signs of aggression. She lays with her front legs
sprawled out in front of her, belying the fact the she is quite
scared. She watches everything you do when you are around her and
looks for every opportunity to escape. Please don't bypass this cat
for you won't soon find another with such a bewitching personality.
Abigail can be seen by calling 519-633-3788,
sending
an email, or
visiting her in person at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot St,
St. Thomas.
Let Abigail put you under her spell!

Aspen |
Aspen -
I've said it before; not everyone likes cats. I don't know why.
Aspen is a perfect example. She came to us literally through the
front door. We either took her in or her people would leave her on
the busy street. Aspen is approximately 1 year old and remarkably
sweet and friendly. She is a beautifully marked, dark grey tabby with
medium length fur. She is a little on the thin side but we'll take
care of that. Aspen does not seem to appreciate the company of other
cats right now but the shelter can be a bit overwhelming for some
until they get settled. At this point, we recommend that Aspen have a
home where she is the only pet. Visit Aspen at 333 Talbot St., St.
Thomas, call 519-633-3788 for more info or
send
us an email.
ASPEN IS NOT THAT FAR AWAY

Augusta |
This adorable girl is Augusta.
Augusta became part of our family on April 17, 2007, at the age of 9
months. This sweet brown tabby arrived with Upper Respiratory from
being outside, but this amazing girl loves attention and has no
problem asking for it! She is quite petite and was likely quite
hungry living outside where she was found trying to catch birds for
lunch! When Augusta gets over her cold, she will be spayed and ready
for a home of her own. Please stop by to visit at Animal Aide, 333
Talbot St, St. Thomas,
send
an email, or call us at 519-633-3788.
Remember, love only happens once and this girl has lots to share!

Blackie |
Blackie has only been with us at Animal Aide since June
22, 2007. Blackie is estimated to be about 2 years old but
looks older. He has been on the streets for a long time.
Blackie is very frightened, wary and defensive. Who can blame
him? Life is tough on the streets, especially for a black cat.
We are hoping that we can overcome his fears and build some
trust between us. It has worked before and we are hopeful that
it will work for Blackie. Come and check out Blackie's
progress at 333 Talbot St., St. Thomas, 519-633-3788, or
email us.
COULD YOU WALK A MILE IN HIS PAWS?

Boris |
Boris arrived at Animal Aide on June 7, 2007, at the age of 4
years. Boris is a friendly black and white cat who was caught
trespassing in a nearby neighbourhood. Boris does not appear to be
fond of other cats, but this is common among cats that have been on
the streets for a while. Other cats are competition for food and
shelter. Some cats get over this once they no longer have to fend for
themselves. Boris has only been here for a few days so we will have
to see if he is one who can get past this competitive feeling. Boris
has likely been out there for a while and is well on his way to be
very loving. If you are in the market for an independent companion
who will not always need your constant attention, but will enjoy
those long nights together, come meet Boris at Animal Aide -
333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, 519-633-3788, or
email us.

Bridget |
Bridget was rescued from a life on the streets when she
was discovered raising eight kittens with another mother on
June 15, 2007. We are unsure which kittens belonged with which
mother, but both mothers and kittens are all healthy and
available for adoption. Bridget is very petite and had to be
shaved with the 'poodle cut' due to being heavily matted. She
needs to be fattened up but we will certainly take care of
that. Bridget is a little shy, but enjoys being held as long
as you move slowly. She is an extremely adorable tabby and
white medium-haired cat about 2 years old. If you would like
to share the experience of watching her fur grow back in a
loving environment, please stop by to visit this tiny girl at
333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, 519-633-3788, or
email us.
The streets are no place for this little angel.

Bubbles |
Bubbles became part of the Animal Aide family on
June 27, 2007, at the tender age of ten months. She is a
diluted calico who was found wandering the streets with no
where to go. Bubbles is a perfect name for her because she has
a very bubbly purrsonality. She loves attention and has no
qualms about asking for it, as you can see by this photo. It
was impossible to get a picture without her talking to me!
Bubbles is tiny and very pretty. She enjoys being held and
cuddled and fits very nicely in your arms. If you would like
to meet Bubbles, she looks forward to seeing you at Animal
Aide, 333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or
send
us an email inquiry. Come have a chat with Bubbles!

Charity |
Charity is a spayed female about 1 to 2 years old.
This pretty dark tabby was rescued from the city shelter on
July 13, 2006. Because of the
number of cats being abandoned she had to wait at the shelter
since June 28th.
She is a little stressed from all the activity, but we are sure she
will relax very quickly. She did very well at the vet and didn't mind
being picked up. Come and visit her and let her know that there
are trustworthy people who will give her a safe home forever.
She says that she does not ever want to end up at the city pound again!
For more information or to meet Charity,
please contact Animal Aide at (519) 633-3788, 333 Talbot St.,
St. Thomas or
email us.

Chuckie |
Chuckie -
This adorable cat came to Animal Aide on June 4, 2007, at the age of
1 year. We were surprised to find that this stray from the pound was
already neutered. This means that he was in a home at some point. We
don't know why Chuckie finds himself here, but we do know that he is
anxious to find another home. Chuckie is very sweet and loves to be
petted and groomed. He is a striking orange tabby with eyes that
glow. If you would like to meet Chuckie, please visit Animal Aide at
333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or
send
us an email.
Life is too short to spend it homeless.
